Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  • 2¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
  3. In a medium pan, melt butter over medium heat. Once butter is melted begin gently swirling for 1-3 minutes or until butter develops a nutty caramel aroma.
  4. Remove pan from heat and transfer butter into heat proof mixing bowl.
  5. Add sugars and vanilla to the butter and whisk until combined.
  6. Add eggs and Greek yogurt; whisk until fully incorporated.
  7. Let mix stand for 2 minutes, then mix on medium high for 2 minutes and rest again for 1 minute.
  8. Mix again on medium high speed until light and fluffy.
  9. With mixer on low, add in flour. Mix just until combined.
  10. Gradually add in chocolate chips into dough, mixing until combined.
  11. Drop rounded tablespoon of dough onto lined cookie sheet.
  12. Bake 9-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
