Everyone loves a reason to celebrate, right?! So, get your party hats on because Cinco de Mayo is just days away!
I’m from Texas and because there is a heavy Hispanic influence and population it is always celebrated there. It is also celebrated there because Texans Gen. Ignacio Zaragoza and Juan Seguín led an army of Mexicans and Texans to battle the French in Puebla, Mexico. The day is a celebration to commemorate the Mexican army’s victory.
A Cinco de Mayo celebration usually includes a parade, mariach music, and of course Mexican food.
It really doesn’t matter where you are from, it is a great time to indulge in some delicious Mexican food and beverages.
